⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “After its premiere at LiteraturHaus, one must simply acknowledge that it is one of the most terrifyingly relevant theatrical experiences right now.” – Michael Søby, CPH Culture
We are thankful to CPH Culture for the two fine nominations of Best foreign play and Best actress of the season.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “When madness hits her, we both feel with her and are repulsed…Dina Rosenmeier takes the important and relevant story beyond the ramp and gives us something to think about.” – Kulturtid, Pia Stilling
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Dina Rosenmeier delivers an intense performance, keeping us captivated by the story of this ordinary yet extraordinary woman…. Jeremy M. Thomas-Bøgsted directs with a tightly controlled dramatic arc, ratcheting up the tension until the near-inevitable collapse occurs” – Anne Liisberg, Iscene
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “A monologue of this genre stands or falls with how strongly and precisely it is delivered. Fortunately, Dina Rosenmeier ensures this in Jeremy M. Thomas-Bøgsted’s high-tension staging… It is largely her credit that the story is kept so sharp and relevant for us, so that it stays with us when we exit the theater.” – Christian Skovgaard Hansen, Ungt Teaterblod
What Our Audience Says
“Havde en pragtfuld aften i går. Og hvis du kender en medborger i København og omegn, der ikke taler dansk, så er der en kulturoplevelse på engelsk lige her. Teaterstykket “Grounded”, om det amerikanske “chairforce”, der sidder dagen lang og flyver droner ind over mål i fremmede lande. Dina Rosenmeier er en fænomenal skuespiller og simpelthen så dygtig.”– Anne Sofie Allarp / Journalist
“I cried … and I am a tough cookie. Thank you for a strong and gripping performance – Dina Rosenmeier is fabulous !” – Vibeke Muasya Film Director
“Grounded er ikke bare en forestilling. Det er en oplevelse. Og Dina gør den til noget helt særligt. Jeg sad tilbage med følelsen af, at jeg havde set noget vigtigt. Noget ægte. Gå ind og se den “ – Knirke Christiansen, Teaterbilletter

“GROUNDED emerges as a shockingly relevant piece of drama through Dina Rosenmeier’s vulnerably trembling performance. She is the nervously beating heart of this English-language production.”

Iscene, Anne Liisberg
“Monomantly she hunts as paranoia creeps in. Eyes flare and her speech rattles. It’s nicely built up, and her psychological sitter thrusts into our nervous systems. Can you even go to war every day and come home in the evening without going crazy and losing your grip on reality?”

POV International, Steen Blendstrup
“The war drums are heaving. We are talking about both “boots on the ground” and “eyes in the sky”. In that sense, Grounded is theater of the moment. The war that rages in the background of George Brants monologue is the Iraq War, but war is war. Also on the home front. That message runs through…the war has moved closer geographically, and mentally we are transforming ourselves into armor, duty – also for women – and new F-35 fighters. There are also apparently a couple of drones on the shopping list for Arctic Command. Who knows when they will fly over our own heads, and who controls them?”

Meet the Team
Our talented team brings ‘Grounded’ to life with passion and expertise.

Jeremy M Thomas-Bøgsted
Director
“Being american it’s really upsetting to see what is going on in my birth country and I felt an urgent need to produce and direct something meaningful to reflect these terrible times. For more than a decade I have been interested in bringing George Brants piece to life on stage in Copenhagen, but now it seems even more relevant than in the past years. Having worked with the actress Dina Rosenmeier on many productions, I have come to see that she is the right choice for this character and so it seems the stars have aligned and the time is right to present Grounded for our audiences in the capital.”

Dina Rosenmeier 'The Pilot'
“When the director offered me the role of Jess, an F16 pilot I was both thrilled and terrified, as this will be my first ever 90 min solo performance. However even if I felt nervous to accept the role, the theme of George Brants play is simply so important that I felt compelled to put all fears aside and just go for it. It saddens me deeply that the world is still affected by wars today, when all focus should be on protecting the population, providing education for all children, eliminating inequality, poverty and hunger. And finally in my opinion the only ‘battle’ that ought to take place today is one against climate change. The ultimate morale of the play very much resonates with my personal beliefs and it is an absolute honour to participate in this important production.“ – Dina Rosenmeier
