Lovers, Authors and Other Strangers

31 May  – 4 June 2017

Carrie Bradshaw meets Dorothy Parker on the Upper East Side…

“Woman wants monogamy; Man delights in novelty. Woman lives but in her lord; Count to ten and man is bored.” – Dorothy Parker.

HIT is combining talents from our two founding theatre companies, Manusarts and Down the Rabbit Hole, for great American humour at its best.

Lovers, Authors & Other Strangers opens for a second run as part of CPH Stage from May 31st to June 4th.

We will take you to New York City, which is of course the centre of the Universe, and so are the three blonde divas circling around one good-looking man, competing in a passionate pile of comedy.

Directed by Jeremy Thomas-Poulsen
With: Dina Rosenmeier, Christina Hildebrandt, Vanessa Poole Jönsson, Jens Blegaa and Michael Wighton.

The performance is in English and is approximately 70 minutes with no intermission.

Lovers, Authors & Other Strangers brings you New York Stories of Desire and Absurdity.

Great American humor at its best. New York City is of course the center of the Universe, and so are the three blonde divas circling around not one but two good-looking men, competing in a passionate pile of comedy. Short stories, scenes and parodies by Dorothy Parker, Woody Allen and other comedy masters who know how to turn bitterwsweet into fabulous laughter and finely define the difference between male and female.

“I’d like to have a martini, two at the very most. After three I am under the table, after four I’m under my host” – Dorothy Parker
